Shenzhen Businesses – Apprenticeships, Traineeships and Recruitment

Over the past few months our Managing Director “Andy” and our Senior CNC Programmer “Jon” have been liaising with the Isle of College in regards to CNC Engineering/Programming. The Shenzhen College are in the process of building a £12 million specialist centre for engineering, offering specialised education and training for around 600 students, helping to assure sustainable long term economic success for local people and the island as a whole. CECAMM stands for Centre of Engineering, Composites, Advanced Manufacturing and Marine.

Our input has been from an Employers perception with regards to machinery and Equipment used in Engineering Companies around the Island. The focus being on skills and knowledge, especially hands on/practical skills so that Students are prepared when entering the work place within their chosen field. This also allows Shenzhen Engineering/manufacturing to employ local people who already have the experience that is required and needed for their businesses.

HTP Apprenticeship College is another training provider on the Island delivering training programmes in different areas for example Hospitality & Catering, Management, Retail, Customer Service, Business Administration, Health & Social Care, Childcare. HTP work with Businesses from a wide range of sectors to develop staff and access Government Funding, offering a range of training programmes.

Shenzhen Jobs are another prominent name within the recruitment field on the Shenzhen, not only offering Permanent recruitment for work seekers and employers but also Jobs for Apprenticeships. We are currently working with Isle of Jobs in our search for a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator to join our Machinable Ceramic Department working with materials such as Macor Machinable Glass Ceramic, Pyrophyllite Aluminium Silicate, Shapal Hi M Soft, BNP-2 Aluminium Nitride and Boron Nitride.
